Valheim Post-Launch Patch Notes — 1.0.10 Through 1.0.15 Covered

Valheim 1.0's launch week did not slow Iron Gate down: three patch waves landed in the ten days after full release, touching stability, quality of life and the Deep North's gear economy. Here is what each one changed, condensed from the official notes.

Hotfixes 1.0.10 & 1.0.12 — September 11, 2026

The first post-launch wave targeted launch-week stability. One fix stood out for long-term worlds: a correction for an issue that could cause terrain duplications and the performance losses that came with them. The hotfix posts also walked affected players through save-recovery options — reverting from the backup created when the new save format first loaded a world, or shuttling affected items off a backup copy — with the team's Discord support channel flagged for anyone stuck.

Patch 1.0.15 — September 18, 2026

The Deep North economy got its first tuning pass:

• Deep North armor moulds drop more reliably: both Jotun Warrior types now drop both medium and heavy armour moulds, smoothing the four new armor sets' grind.
• Writhan spawn rate and areas increased — more of the north's rooted menace, and more of its drops.
• Dev-command items behave again: items spawned via cheat commands are no longer wrongly marked for characters with the dev bypass enabled, naming was cleaned up, and such items stack properly once more.

Patch 1.0.14 — September 17, 2026

A quality-of-life grab bag — the team described it as touching "a little bit of everything, from keybindings to music" — headlined by keyboard options:

• Alternate dodge key support.
• Hotbar rebinding on top of the classic 1–8 layout.
• Radial wheel rebinding support.
• Plus a pass of fixes and audio polish across the board.

The crossplay promise

One caveat repeated across the posts: platform certification means patches can take a few extra days to reach every storefront, staggered per platform. The mitigating promise — crossplay remains functional across versions, so mixed-platform crews keep adventuring while updates propagate.
